The flat is one open space, with a double bed, which is subtly stored under the platform raised office space (as seen in the photo), a chaise lounge (that serves to sleep) and an individual sofa bed. The platform can be used as relaxing area and there is a desk to work on. There is a wardrobe, bookstand, satellite TV, CD player and air conditioning/heating. The kitchen is modern with all the mod cons.You can hang out the clothes on the clothesline on the balcony. There is a very practical glass table. The bathroom is decorated in mediteranean blue, with shower and a modern sink.
What will strike you most is the lightning all around, which adds to the atmosphere, it feels like you are on a boat……..
This apartment is for the very privileged and ideal for couples.
The apartment is situated in the Barceloneta quartier, which used to be a fisherman’s village. All the houses are the same, traditionally small, called “cuartos de casa”. Now this area is being rebuilt and is becoming one of the most upcoming zones. A lot of foreigners choose this area to live in.
Some houses are privileged enough to be situated in front of the sea. There is a long promenade by the beach, which goes as far as the Villa Olimpica (restaurants, casino, bars, cafes, cinemas -original version-, beaches, yacht club, discos……… you can walk for a miles……….
You can visit the main boulevard Juan de Borbon promenade (on the other side), look at the city, where Port Vell is situated.
This area offers a wide range of restaurants where you can taste typical paella on one of their terraces… or have a coffee waiting for the sunset
